What is collected, and what is not.
Short version: the only personal information here is what a host types into the submission form, and it is used to publish and follow up on that listing.

What is collected
When someone submits an activity, J217 stores exactly the fields on that form: the church or organization name, a contact name, an email address, an optional phone number, the details of the activity, and any private notes left for the reviewer. A one-way hash of the submitting network address is also stored, purely to slow down automated spam.
Nothing is collected from people who only browse the site. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising trackers, and no third-party embeds beyond the web font request described below.
Cookies and browser storage
The public pages set no cookies at all. A single cookie exists on the private review page, and it only holds a signed session for whoever moderates submissions.
The submission form does remember your organization's details in your own browser, so a church posting a second time does not retype its name, website, contact, and town. That stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and there is a link on the form to clear it.
What is published
If a listing is approved, the activity details go on the public board: the name of the hosting organization, the title, the description, the date and time, the location, the signup link if one was given, and the number of volunteers needed. The contact email, the phone number, and the reviewer notes are never published.
What it is used for
Contact details are used for one thing: reaching the submitter about their own listing. They are not added to a mailing list, not sold, not shared with other organizations, and not handed to any third party.
How long it is kept
Approved listings stay on the board until the activity has passed, and the record is kept afterward as a simple archive. Submissions that are declined are deleted within ninety days. Anything can be deleted sooner on request.
Removing your information
Email hello@j217.org from the address used on the submission and say what you want taken down. Listings come down promptly, and the underlying record is deleted on request.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests and stores the submission database. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which means a font request reaches Google's servers when a page loads. No other outside service receives anything.
Children
The submission form is meant for adults acting for a church or faith-based organization. It is not directed at children, and no information is knowingly collected from them.
Changes
If this note changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
